SEAFARERS MONTH
June is Seafarers Month—a time to recognize and honor the men and women who dedicate their lives to the sea. Every day, seafarers keep global trade moving, transporting food, fuel, medicine, and essential goods that support communities worldwide.
Their work often goes unseen, yet it is vital to our everyday lives. From long months away from home to navigating challenging conditions at sea, their resilience, commitment, and strength deserve our deepest appreciation.
This month, we celebrate their contributions, acknowledge their sacrifices, and thank them for keeping the world connected.
MEDITATION SESSION
Take a moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect.
Our Meditation Session offers a space to step away from daily stress and find calm, clarity, and balance. Through guided breathing and mindful awareness, participants are invited to quiet the mind, release tension, and focus on the present moment.
Meditation is a simple yet powerful practice that can help reduce stress, improve focus, and support overall emotional well-being. Whether you are new to meditation or experienced, this session welcomes everyone looking to restore inner peace and recharge.

Christmas at Seafarers’ House!
October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Here is a photo reel of the activities that were done in October with the seafarers that visited our center in Old San Juan and during ship visits to help raise awareness of breast cancer.
Ship Visit Icon OTS
On June 25th, we visited the cruise ship, Icon of the Seas, to speak with seafarers and hand out snacks and gifts to celebrate “The Day of the Seafarer”.

On June 25th, seafarers that visited our center in Old San Juan were greeted with snacks and gifts to celebrate “The Day of the Seafarer”.
International Woman’s Day
In the month of March, we visited the cruise ships Viking Sea, Norwegian Escape & Seadream II to interview women seafarers so that they can share their stories working in the industry.
Mental Health Awareness Month
During the month of May for Mental Health Awareness Month, we handed out gifts and snacks to seafarers visiting our center and during ship visits.
International Women in Maritime Day
May 18th was International Women in Maritime Day. To commemorate the occasion, we visited the Rhapsody OTS to ask women seafarers about their role in the industry.
