This month, we celebrated BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

We commemorate it with articles made by our employees for our blog. It is amazing to read the news and information that was researched. It helped us learn a lot of things that we did not know regarding the topic. Also, it can help open a conversation about the importance of knowing the signs, to avoid seeing them late when symptoms arise. It is very important to never ignore anything when it comes to regarding our health.

We started the first week of October with an article written by Jorge Marin about male breast cancer called; “Can men get Breast Cancer?”i The following week we added another article written by Ariana Muñoz Maurás that discussed birth control and its relation to breast cancer called; “Can Birth Control Pills Have an Effect or Not on the Risk for Breast Cancer?”ii And the final article which was written by María Acevedo and was posted on the third week of this month called “Could I be diagnosed with Breast Cancer even though I don’t have a family history?”iii

The hashtags #fightbreastcancer and #breastcancerawareness were used when the articles were promoted via Instagram and Facebook. We also added during the month an inspirational quote and some facts regarding breast cancer our social media accounts.
